Last year we had a membership to the Florida Aquarium in Tampa. This year I was planning to get a yearly pass for Lowry Park Zoo, but Living Social had a great deal for the Glazer Children’s Museum – $50 for a year pass. I couldn’t pass it up. I’m so happy I didn’t. We’ve gone maybe 5 times now and each time gets better and better. Even after our fifth visit there are still areas of the museum we haven’t visited. Usually the kids like to go to their favorite places like the mini-grocery store, sports area, mini-vet, and water area. I’m finally convincing them to explore some of the other areas – the paper airplane launch, firetruck/house, play restaurants, and dance area.
One day last week I pulled Sadie out of school a few hours early and we met Ben for lunch and then went to the museum. The kids had such a great time! Here are a few pictures from that visit:

You can’t see it well but this is the paper airplane launcher.

Racing against the rabbit.

Picking out which tooth she lost 🙂

This was the first time we explored this area. I loved this puzzle! It was 4 layers deep and each layer showed either the bones, blood vessels, muscles, or vital organs. Very cool!

Looking in his veterinarian book to see how to help his dog get better.

Here you put the stethoscope up to different areas of the body and out of a speaker you hear the sound of what the doctor would hear. Heart, swallow, stomach gurgle, and intestines.
