Taking pictures of me with my kids

There has been a lot of hype on the internet lately about encouraging moms to get out from behind their camera and into all the pictures they’re taking of their children (example: Embrace the Camera).  There are so few pictures I have of just me and my mom.  I can’t even think of one, actually, from my early childhood.  (Can you Mom?  If so, I WANT IT!)  So, despite bodily imperfections, bad hair days, and frumpy clothes I’m going to document myself with my kids more often.  Specifically, I’m going to try to get one picture each week with each of the kids.

This week’s round of pictures:

Sadie chopped our heads – oh well! Love it anyways 🙂

This is me trying to convince her it would be worth her while to sit and smile. It’s the best we got. I double wrapped the camera strap around Jax’s neck while he took this picture. He was very careful and did a surprisingly good job for a two year old.

For this one I used the camera timer. McKay loves to watch it the light blink. That’s helpful.

Shannon - Good idea Alicia! I don’t have very many pictures with me in them either. I look forward to seeing you more often on your blog now 🙂ReplyCancel

Christy - I think this is a GREAT idea. They will love to have pictures of their childhood with you. 🙂 And you’re beautiful, by the way. And I love you.

PS- I am impressed with Sadie and Jax’s photography skills!ReplyCancel
