Jess’ Baptism

At the beginning of the year my cousin, Jess, after having finished college thought it might be fun to live with my Gramma in Clearwater for a few months.  She’s from the West Virginia/Maryland area so growing up we only saw her during her yearly week long trip.  We’ve loved having her in the area!  She’s great with the kids and so fun to be around.  She did temp work at Ben’s office during his busy season which was helpful and fun for Ben.

She started taking the missionary discussions to learn more about our religion shortly after she arrived.  She read the Book of Mormon and after praying she felt she wanted to join our church.  So, on Monday April 21st, when all the family happened to be in town we had an early morning beach baptism for Jess. It was beautiful!  We arrived shortly after sunrise and all was calm and serene. I felt a peaceful, sweet spirit.  It was very special to be there.  I’m so inspired by the sincerity and goodness of Jess. My church has been a tremendous blessing in my life giving me hope, perspective, and guidance. I’m so grateful she will have these blessings in her life, too.
