Dear People (you know who you are),
The time is rapidly approaching where you will be called upon to watch my perfect little bundle of joy. Are you preparing?
For this week’s lesson we will be discussing the topic of ‘what to do with Sadie when she’s bored’.
Our dear Sadie requires a lot of interaction and attention {boy do I know!} and does not enjoy playing independently. However, I will share some tips with you for when you are dead tired and desperately need a break, ok?
Here we go:
2) Read a book / Go to the library:
4) Call someone on the phone –
- Little Bunny Foo-Foo {a little violent, though}
- Hokey Pokey
- Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star
- This Little Light of Mine {really emphasize the “NO” when you pull it out from under the bushel}
- Popcorn Popping
- Itsy Bitsy Spider
- Five Little Ducks
- Monkies on the Bed
- Mr. Sun
{For Emergency Use Only!}
{and don’t judge me!}
Note: We usually go on at least one outing a day, so if she’s in the house too long she may become especially restless.
My prayers and thoughts will be with you as you seek to help her find meaningful ways to spend her time.
And always remember: safety first!
Your loving daughter and sister,
Alicia
Raven - Just had to say that I love that first picture of her–stunning.
Lori - One time, just after one of our visits to Utah, my in-laws took their beautiful, red convertible out for a drive, and all of a sudden, the horn started honking, randomly AND uncontrolably. This did not end anytime soon, so they took it to the dealership to find out the cause of this rather annoying problem, only to find two nickels had been shoved into the “creases” of the steering wheel where the horn is, causing it to short-circuit. Can you guess which of my lovely children was responsible for that?
Lori - Be careful with the coins is the moral of the story! 🙂
Joe - Noted
Christy - Sister Emery, that is really funny. I can see Fisher or McKendzie (when she was younger) doing that.
Alicia, great post. Sadie will do great when you’re in labor. Kimmy is really all you need in situations like that. She can chase Sadie around the house playing games ALL DAY. I couldn’t see the videos though. Will you send me permission to watch them? Love ya. 😉
Alicia - Do you still call her Sister Emery? Maybe one day you’ll be cool like me and she’ll let you call her Lori 🙂
I’ll work on the video problem.
True, true about Kimmy – she’ll wear our poor little Sadie our probably!
Sarah - I LOVE that first picture of Sadie, you should print that one and put it on your wall 🙂 I love the other ones of Sadie too at the Library and with Ben. I have to say I absolutely love pictures taken without a flash … I’m loving them more and more these days.
