Ben’s Birthday

Last Friday was Ben’s 33rd birthday.  You don’t mind me announcing that, do you Ben?

It was a busy morning: blood draw, two trips to WalMart, and taking Sadie to and from Preschool (she didn’t want to miss the Pajama and Pancake Party).  After that we went to Chipotle for lunch and then to Lowry Park Zoo.

That evening the family came over for dinner and some baseball:

I was going to make Shaum Torte but ran out of time.  Sarah saved me and bought cake and ice cream from Publix.  Thanks Sarah!  I stuck the candles in the tub of ice cream.  Really classy, huh?

All the kids tried blowing out the candles while we were singing:

Joseph was the one that succeeded:

After dinner we played around the house for a little while and opened presents.

We went to Mitchell Park so the kids could play at the park and so the adults could hit some baseballs.  That’s my 84 year old Gramma up at bat in the last picture.  She’s quite a gal!

Happy birthday Ben!  Thank you for making my life wonderful.

Shannon - Looks like a fun birthday for Ben and I am amazed by your grandma. There aren’t many women her age who can be out playing baseball. What has she done to stay so healthy? Is she really active?ReplyCancel
