Sadie’s choose not to participate in this years Thanksgiving program. She spent the whole 30 minutes sitting on her teacher’s lap in the front row. The picture below was taken just after they walked in and were setting up. Can you see the concerned look on her face? Two seconds after this photo was taken she had a meltdown. Her wonderful, sweet teacher was there to comfort her though.
She loves preschool but has a hard time when I show up on special occasions and at times when she’s center stage. She is really learning a lot, and I’m so happy she gets to do so many fun things. It’s strange to see my little girl looking so grown up, though.
Side note: I’m so behind on blogging that it’s starting to feel a little overwhelming. Time is whizzing by and I just don’t have the time to record it like I would like to. I told myself I wasn’t going to bed tonight until I did a blog post, though. So, this is my meager blog post for the day. Better and longer ones are coming soon!
Shannon - Sadie is such a cute pilgrim girl!
Derek’s had a hard time getting up in front of people too. He cried when our primary program began and then didn’t want to say his part. He spent the whole time on Bret’s lap. He was also asked to give a talk in primary recently, but even after a lot of preparation and getting him excited about it he got shy and put his head in his arms. I understand how Derek and Sadie feel though. I don’t like being the center of attention either.
Enjoy your Thanksgiving!
