Cricchio and Kimmy Visit

Last week we had some of our favorite people visit: The Cricchios and Kimmy.  We had a lot of fun and went a lot of places.  I was lazy about my picture taking (I didn’t get any of Kimmy – eek!), but I’ll try to think of everything we’ve done in the last week beginning last Saturday: Orlando temple, Cricchios arrive and came over, church on Sunday, photoshoot Monday morning which Kimmy and my mom babysat the kids during, going out to lunch with Kimmy and Mimi, Mitchell Park playdate, Body Pump workout class at the gym twice with Cricchios and Tickners, visited baby chicks and collected eggs, went to Mike and Sarahs (had SO much fun; no pics though), pool with Cricchios and Tickners, visited with the Sheltons,  Longleaf park twice, car detailing issue we had to squeeze in in Clearwater, day at Mimi’s house with Kimmy, beach with Cricchios and Tickners, girls night with church friends – pizza and bowling, simple farewell get together at our house for the Cricchios, and finally and somewhat off-topic……car shopping.

Ben bought the new Hyundai Elantra.  Poor guy’s been driving the old civic with 230,000 miles and no AC for the last 6 months.  He brought the car guy home with him at 10PM on Saturday night so I could sign the paperwork.   The deed is done.

Now for pictures….

Cricchio’s arrival on Saturday:

It was a WONDERFUL reunion! We have really, really, really missed them. It’s hard to know they’re gone again.

Monday’s playdate with church friends:  (It was also Stephanie’s 30th birthday :))

Jenny and Emerose Anderson.

One of our visits to Longleaf park:

Pool playdate:

McKay fell asleep in my arms after I got him out of the bath after the pool. I laid him on the bed and he stayed out. He was wiped out! I love pictures of sleeping babies.

Clearwater beach (crowded yet beautiful):

I stole this picture from someone’s facebook page.  It’s from our girls night out.

Funny story…a 14 year old came up to me at the bowling alley and handed me two pennies and said, “Can I give you my two cents about bowling?”  A little confused I answered, “Sure?”  He said, “You look very beautiful tonight.”  It was really cute and funny.  What made it especially funny to me was that I had asked earlier in the night if I was dressing too adolescent or juvenile   After a 14 year old hit on me I decided maybe it’s time to dress a little more my age!

Everyone is gone now. The Cricchios are back in Texas and Kimmy is in Utah about to leave for Jerusalem for the summer. We will miss all our wonderful friends! Oh how we look forward to the next times we’ll see them!!!

desiree - hachacha! You are a pretty beautiful babe! I always get asked which teenager is playing at my sports events. That kinda jabs the heart a bit. 🙂ReplyCancel
