Temples are a major part of the LDS religion. The temple is literally the house of the Lord – the most sacred place on earth. It’s a holy place set apart from the outside world where members of our church participate in ordinances, instruction, promises, and prayer. It’s a place we go to feel peace, gain perspective, and rededicate ourselves to living a Christlike life. Usually only adult members who live by the standards of the church can visit the temple. However, when a new temple is built, prior to it’s dedication, they allow the general public to tour the building. So, a new temple was recently completed in Ft. Lauderdale so we made the 4 hour drive down to take the tour with the kids. It was a beautiful place and I think the kids found it interesting to see the inside of a temple instead of just the outside which is what they usually only see in Orlando.

So, so grateful for temples and the strength and perspective we gain there. So grateful that I know I can be with my loved ones forever!
