We’re busily running errands, going to doctor’s appointments, cleaning, and packing in preparation for our trip to Utah. Sadie starts preschool the day after we get home so I’ve also needed to go in to sign paperwork, get doctor’s forms, and shop for her school supplies.
Yesterday we had wellness doctor’s appointments for both the boys. Jax weighs 27 lbs (30th percentile) and is 33 1/2 inches (18th percentile). McKay weighs 18 lbs, 15 ounces (5th percentile) and is 29 3/4 inches (50th percentile). Only McKay needed shots and he took it like a man.
On today’s to do list is an optometry appointment (hopefully) and buy a new phone. Things often magically disappear in our house. Ben’s wallet vanished last month, my phone this month, my watch, spoons, and so on and so forth. We think some little person is putting them in the trash can. Great! I’m trying to inspect our garbage more often. It’s one of those really fun jobs I get to do every day 🙂
I’m addicted to watching The Waltons. Have you seen it? I just discovered it a month ago. It’s like Little House on the Prairie. There are three episodes on the Hallmark Channel every afternoon. Yesterday Grandpa died and I cried my eyes out. He was one of my favorite characters. I try to be productive during my TV watching but I still feel guilty for wasting so much time. It is a great show, though! My guilty pleasure.
I haven’t been great about taking pictures but these are a few of the things we’ve been up to. Picture taking has become my way of journaling. If I don’t take a picture of an activity I completely forget we did it.

Lots of pool playdates with Cricchio:

We did sidewalk chalk for a few minutes one day, but it was dangerously hot outside and McKay kept eating the chalk.

We had Sarah take our family pictures last week. Sarah was great but the kids were awful. We couldn’t get cooperation and smiles to save our lives. I was so frustrated! Sarah was very gracious and said we can try again in a few weeks. Thanks Sarah!

It was Mormon night for the Rays on Saturday night. They do that once a year. All the Mormons sit in the outfield together. Kindof funny, huh?
