Natalie’s Visit

This past week Ben’s sister Natalie was been here visiting. We sure love to have company. It’s an excuse to do fun things that I wouldn’t normally be able to do by myself. Natalie is wonderful with the kids and so easy to be around. It was certainly sad to see her go. The kids woke up this morning and searched the house for her. It was certainly a pitiful thing to see their faces fall when I reminded them she was gone.   Come back soon Natalie!

Some of the fun things from the trip:

  • (Thursday) Natalie babysitting so I could run an errand, going to the Aquarium, getting soaked in the rain after the Aquarium
  • (Friday) Mitchell Park, photography lesson, Applebees
  • (Saturday) conference, Crews Lake Park, TCBY
  • (Sunday) conference, Katie and Warren Tickner coming for dinner
  • (Monday) going to Sadie’s preschool to see the Firetruck, beach by my parents’ house, Thai night at my parents’ house
  • (Tuesday) Panera bread, Tarpon Springs sponge docks for baklava, Howard Park Beach, and weird India movie
  • (Wednesday) farewell at the airport

I ran a quarter mile back to the car through this pouring rain. I was drenched to the bone!

Face of disgust after drinking salt water.

Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks

Attempt at a sibling picture….FAIL!

We found a shrimp and lots of live shells with muscles and/or crabs.

Joe - You know you can wait for the rain to stop.

Did that volleyball fall in the water?

    Are the sponge docks fun?

I didn’t think it was wine.

    You have really cute kids.ReplyCancel

alicia - It rained for a long time, so I was going to get drenched no matter what. Also, I was trying to beat rush hour traffic b/c it was almost 5 o’clock.

No the volleyball did not fall in the water. Thank you for your concern though.

We loved the sponge docks. It’s touristy, though. We mostly go for the treats.ReplyCancel
