A Day at Mimi’s House

Does it seem like I thank one or both of my parents in every post? They’re always doing something nice for us. It’s pretty much a daily occurrence for me to have something to thank them for. This week was no exception. We went down to the Homestead on Thursday and had a wonderful time.  The kids just love my mom. I do, too.  She fed us lots of great food, we went to her beach, she helped me bathe the kids after the beach, she put Sadie and Jax down for naps, she let me take a nap, and she went with us to the park. She’s just always giving, giving, giving.  She’s really wonderful like that.

McKay loves Mimi’s house because she has the deck outback where we can walk around and explore things.  Usually that means he eats dirt or tries to stick his fingers in the electrical outlet. That’s McKay for ya.

Jax especially loves my mom.  We stayed late at the park this night and the kids fell asleep on the drive home.  When he woke up the next morning he walked out of his room, threw himself on the floor in the family room, and said, “NO! Want Mimi’s house!”  It took me 10 minutes to cheer him up.  He just loves it there!
